IASTA Fellow Award
IASTA fellow award recognizes individuals who have rendered exceptional service to IASTA and have made enduring, impactful contributions to the field of aerosol science and technology in India. The recognition reflects achievements across scientific research, engineering innovation, translational work, and educational outreach—all of which are vital and interconnected aspects of progress in aerosol science.
Award Rules:
- Selection Process-
IASTA fellow award committee reviews applications with a major focus on ‘Scientific publications and research impact’, ‘Technological innovations and engineering solutions’, ‘Translational contributions that bridge science with practical applications’, ‘Educational initiatives, mentorship, and training activities’, and/or ‘Service and leadership within IASTA and the broader aerosol community’. Based on the committee’s recommendation, the final selection is made by an Award Jury appointed by the IASTA Executive Committee. The award for the year 2025 will be granted during the AAC-2025.
- Eligibility Criteria-
The nominee must be IASTA lifetime member and have active involvement in its activity. The IASTA Fellow Award is open to individuals with a sustained track record of research in aerosol science and technology. Nominees should have demonstrated outstanding contributions through original scientific research, engineering innovation, translational contribution to practical applications and educational outreach.
- Nomination Dossier-
A comprehensive letter of justification detailing the nominee’s distinguished scientific achievements in the field of Aerosol Science and Technology, as well as their sustained service and leadership in advancing the mission and objectives of the IASTA.
- An up-to-date curriculum vitae (CV) of the nominee, outlining academic qualifications, professional appointments, honors, and awards.
- A bibliography of the nominee’s highlighted scholarly publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, conference proceedings, and relevant technical contributions.
- The nomination letter (up to 2 pages) should clearly articulate the nominee’s scientific impact, innovative contributions, and dedication to the aerosol research community. Particular emphasis should be placed on the nominee’s role in furthering the growth and recognition of aerosol science in India and beyond.
To augment the nomination, a maximum of three supporting letters from individuals with direct knowledge of the nominee’s professional accomplishments may be included. Only living nominees are eligible for consideration.
